It all began in 1910
Castleton Baths 1910 has been a staple of the community for many generations!
Surviving both world wars, the great depression and more recently, the Covid-19 Pandemic.
In 2017, Castleton Baths 1910 was at risk of demolition after being closed for 12 months. This would have deprived the community of this much needed asset.
Local business man Nick Crewe (Crewe Industrial Services Ltd.) was approached by the local Labour Councillor to get involved in saving our local community pool.
Nick had very fond memories of spending weekends and summer holidays at Castleton Baths 1910, and had strong feelings about keeping this valuable community asset open.
Nick pledged to spend the money needed to bring the building back to life after a 12-month closure.
Castleton Baths 1910 re-opened as a not-for-profit organization, with the local community's interests at heart.
Since re-opening the baths, the building has been refurbished, with many of it’s old features retained.
